![]() note She didn't actually shatter Pink Diamond, as she was secretly Pink Diamond all along, but she did convincingly fake her own death. It is revealed this is because Rose shattered Jasper's original Diamond: Pink Diamond. It's unclear whether this was mutual on Rose's part or if Jasper was an Unknown Rival. When we next meet her in "Chille Tid", she's become completely unhinged. And I Must Scream: Lapis Lazuli traps her in her own body at the bottom of the ocean. She's also one of the few characters with irises. Anatomy Anomaly: The first, and for a long time the only, character drawn with eyelashes.By the time he surpasses her (accidentally shattering her in the process), she becomes devastated when Steven no longer wants to be around her and then tries to go with him on his road trip out of a newfound desire to protect him. She becomes something of an Anti-Role Model for Steven in Future when her Blood Knight attitude activates new latent powers he didn't know he had.Jasper is pleased to rub this in Amethyst's face in their first fight, but the next time she only reacts with contempt. Amethyst came out small and "defective" due to emerging 500 years later than she was supposed to, while Jasper is the most perfect Quartz ever made, which causes Amethyst to see Jasper as everything she wishes to be. Though (most) Gems lack a concept of family, Jasper and Amethyst are "sisters" in that they are both Quartz soldiers made on Earth, and Amethyst calls Jasper "sis" after she's corrupted and poofed. Even more so with the later reveal that Rose was Pink Diamond, meaning her revenge was completely meaningless to begin with. Losing herself to corruption, she's then bubbled by Amethyst, who sadly acknowledges her as a sister for the first time. Alas, Poor Villain: In "Earthlings", Jasper is revealed as a vengeful, loyal soldier who had everything taken from her by Rose Quartz, roaring at Steven for everything Rose Quartz did to her colony, her planet and to Pink Diamond, and is desperately lonely when everyone she fuses with leaves her.Aggressive Submissive: Despite being a violent, boisterous Blood Knight Jerkass, Jasper is the one who ends up being submissive to Lapis after they fuse and defuse, with the former frequently dominated by the latter's will as Malachite, and then later outright begging her to refuse while excited at the thought of receiving Lapis' anger yet again. ![]() Jasper: I'm the only one who can handle your kind of power!
